From left to right

1.The old boat at the canal entrance is a painting from probably around 1850.

2. Opening of Jubilee Junction - the new junction of the Wilts & Berks Canal and the River Thames which  took place in Abingdon on Wednesday 30th August 2006, by Councillor Peter Green, Mayor of Abingdon.    The name of Jubilee Junction reflects the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Inland Waterways Association. Considerable matched funding for the project was given by WREN and the Trust volunteers were augmented by the Waterway Recovery Group.

3. Site of the original junction of the Wilts & Berks Canal with the River Thames. This picture taken in 2009

4. Ock Bridge Abingdon (1970) over the River Ock where it joins the Thames, put in by the canal company in 1824 to facilitate access to the wharf and the original entrance to the canal, which is about 50 yards downstream. This picture taken in 2009
